Weave a Coast Salish Bag

This is one project I have a passion to share with others - to intertwine the beauty of weaving a bag. With patience and time, participants will productively weave a beautiful small colorful bag.  All materials will be provided for this special activity, including the cardboard for the loom and yarn in a variety of colours.  Participants will learn how to string the warp and weave a small drawstring bag in this class.  Learning standards include the core competencies of communication and ADST design.  Handouts will be provided.

This project also supports Aboriginal integration and principles of learning - storytelling and a learning experience that takes patience and time.  Participants may be able to complete the project in the workshop time.
